New to this forum and really sorry if this has already been discussed… I did try to find information but just didn’t come across anything.
I have an old nextion screen (now cracked) that was working fine for its intended purpose. What i would like to know is if there is any way to extract the existing tft file (from the cracked screen) and transfer to the new one? The reason i am asking is that i have lost the original HMI and tft files that were stored on my computer.
Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
To the best of my knowledge this is correct. It is possible to dump the EEPROM, but you need to remove it from the board first. At that point, it’s probably easiest just to pull the EEPROM from the existing board and solder onto a new board. The 2.7" units I’m using are all 8pin SOICs which are pretty easy to deal with if you have hot air. I’ve done this procedure several times for (reasons) and it’s a quick job.
